The cold water of the Pacific laps at the foot of Haystack Rock. Low tide on a warm, sunny day, the tide pools teem with life, color and activity. The sea extends for thousands of miles in every direction, and both euphoria and serenity are found in just this one of thousands of Earth’s gifts all over the world.
In this place, overwhelmed with such beauty, it’s hard to conceptualize a reality in which humanity is not doing everything possible to maintain, protect and preserve every inch of this miraculous sphere that is our home. Inconceivable that convenience, industrial solution or profit would be allowed to have a negative effect on these universal wonders.
Within these magnificent moments, we can imagine a world in which all life is in harmony with nature’s delicate balance. We can envision a time to come, when solutions have been created and put in place that throw off the yoke of strain on the world’s ecosystems; when we are looking back on the sacrifices made to reach that point and know that they led to astounding, lasting solutions to the challenges we faced.
Achieved, this reality will provide space for humankind to rise above and move to the next level of consciousness with a free spirit and a future filled with limitless possibilities. On that day, the cold water of the Pacific will lap at the foot of Haystack Rock, and it will again be at peace.
